Grant Breakdown: Two Milestones to Net Zero
The Net Zero Planning Grant is delivered in two stages:
Milestone 1: Scoping (Up to $4,000)
Covers up to 75% of costs.
Helps businesses identify key actions needed to progress their net zero journey.
Milestone 2: Delivery (Up to $26,000)
Covers up to 75% of costs.
Supports detailed sustainability work such as:
Developing a greenhouse gas inventory.
Conducting a climate risk and opportunity assessment
Creating a climate transition plan.
Implementing other eligible activities across nine key themes, including strategy, governance, people, data, finance and assurance.
This funding presents an excellent opportunity for businesses to receive expert guidance on managing climate risks while minimising financial barriers.
Who is Eligible for NSW Government Grants for Net Zero Planning?
To apply, businesses must:
Have an ABN and be registered for GST.
Have an NSW site address and operate in the state.
Spend at least $200,000 annually on energy bills at a single site or $500,000 across multiple sites (excluding transport fuels).
Not be classified as a Safeguard facility under the Australian Government’s Safeguard Mechanism.
They have not previously received funding under this grant.
Not be a related entity to an entity or entities that have successfully applied for this Grant.
